The Rosebud Sioux Tribe Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).RST WIC Program offers supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breast feeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five you are found to be at nutritional risk.

The Rosebud Sioux Tribe WIC Program has been in operation since 1974 ensuring healthy and nutritional assistance to 1,300 participants monthly.

Mission Statement

To promote and safeguard the health and well being of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, nutrition education, and referrals to health care; providing quality nutrition services; advocating for services for all eligible women, infants and children, and assuring the sound and responsive management of WIC.
